They entail small enhancements which can be made to a product to optimise the mould yield considerably. Small gestures of kindness and courtesy which make our customers feel welcome and supported. Small steps forward that technology is making in our sector every day, which we are committed to embracing, always.
Small details, yes, but with incessant care, they can lead to great results.
This dedication is the result of our passion for what we do, which drives us not to make do but to strive towards delivery the best, all the time.
Our objective has always been to supply a comprehensive range for the mould industry. Our story bears witness to our endless commitment.
Giambattista Rigon established the company in 1985, initially as an individual concern and he immediately started off with a range of normalised technical components for moulds which at the time was near-complete. His goal was to fill the gaps of traditional importers, with whom he had been working as an agent, who only supplied limited solutions.
Marco Rigon, Giambattista’s son, joined the company in 1996 and started working as an agent to get a better understanding of the products and the market dynamics.
In 1999, the company moved to a new location, its current premises, and the operational surface area grew from 200 m2 to 450 m2.
Rigon was transformed from an individual company to a limited liability company, in order to gain the necessary structure and solidity to tackle the growing business and rising turnover.
The new premises were extended, growing from 450 to 900 m2.
2003 was the year both the mindset and the vision changed. What was once a distributor of normalised components for moulds for the Triveneto region became a national distributor, also acquiring a mandate, in some cases also exclusively, for the distribution of some prestigious international brands: Progressive, TST, Dotherm, HEB.
In 2004, the company bought its first 2 automatic warehouses and invested in a new internal IT system: this marked a cornerstone in terms of business organisation and customer service, enabling the company to be ever faster and more efficient and minimising the margin of error.
Driven by passion and curiosity for his work, Marco Rigon has also taken some other essential steps for his business strategy, in particular introducing Rigon into the specifications of major mould manufacturers.
We also introduced a novelty in the preparation of orders shipped from our warehouses: we started to mark each product with barcodes and labels containing all the information the customer may need: job order, order number, position.
In 2008, we added our logo and item code to all standard and special normalised components: this is a useful detail to ensure the traceability of the products sold.
To automate processes further and make information accessible to agents and external customers, we updated our IT system. In addition, our first electronic catalogue was made available to all, with related 3D diagrams, and an on-line B2B order system.
In 2013, we introduced 2 new automatic warehouses.
In 2016, we expanded our operational premises further, growing from 900 to 1350 m2.
We started exporting normalised components for moulds aboard in 2017, to Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Slovenia, Poland and the Czech Republic. In Poland in particular, we opened a company that also distributes plastic moulding equipment, such as injection machines and robots.
We opened another 2 new automatic warehouses, which takes us up to 6 in total, and we have reorganised the internal work organisation to streamline and speed up procedures.
Our electronic catalogue is available in 8 languages, thereby making it more easily accessible to multiple foreign markets.
In 2021, we reorganised our departments and the logistics area, making them more modern and functional, with the aim of improving working conditions for our team of employees.
Thanks to the installation of a 45 kW photovoltaic system, we have become self-sufficient in producing electricity.
We are now a dynamic company, that never tires of evolving. We market normalised mould components all over the world and have selected the finest suppliers to offer the best-performing solution at a competitive price, always.
